After graduating from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics with a MSc. in business administration. I gained experience with Accenture, ABN AMRO and Nidera. When orienting on the labor market, I experienced how though it can be to find out what a company and department really is about. I started out in consulting, account management and ended up in HR. Over the years I came closer and closer to what I really enjoy and that is really getting to know people, matching them with jobs and building long-term relationships.
Quants Only was founded on January 1st, 2010. After 8 years of work experience I knew that I wanted to have my own company based on long-term relationships serving the quantitative community. The reason for serving the quantitative community is because I enjoy discovering what quantitative positions are really about and creating a perfect match between a client and a professional.
What I enjoy most in interviewing candidates is finding out what really drives someone. I consequently want to get to know the person behind the professional and I am committed to offering job opportunities and training based on a lasting commitment. I have learned that sometimes taking a bit more time to get to know a candidate, company culture, and the department can ultimately lead to the best results. After all, the aim is always to find a lasting fit so that both the client and the professional are only required to make the necessary investment once.
Additionally it also gives me fulfillment to give something back to professionals and students by means of organising TopQuants, providing workshops and career coaching that help quantitative professionals and students improving their "soft skills".
In my private life, I am married to a Quant(!) Erik, an econometrician and we have a son (3) and a Daughter of 1 year old.
